"Stonework" is fantastic!

I like the perspective a lot.

Kind regards
Klaus
Thank you Klaus. It never ceases to amaze me how the drystone walls around here just march on and over any ground. I don't even have the patience to repair my own pathetically small, short-run examples when short lengths collapse, which does happen now and again (thank you moles, rabbits, time). If you were doing a jigsaw, a drystone waller's principle would be that if you pick a piece up you don't put it down until you've found its home.

Not sure if a campground would be considered rural, but this campsite is a fabulous one. I wish you could all hear the creek. We came here for our 43rd anniversary yesterday. We even have cell data here, which is a bonus!!

I live in a rural area so getting photos once I get home should be fun. Living in a desert, these nearby forests are such a nice change.

That looks very idyllic, Terri. Are there trout in that creek?

We don't fish. But I found this info for you.

"Through emptying into the river, Palisades Creek is a major spawning stream for cutthroat trout. Idaho Department of Fish and Game, as part of efforts to enhance cutthroat trout populations, operates a fish trap on the lower creek. Here cutthroat trout are allowed to pass to upstream spawning areas, and rainbow trout are denied access. Harvest of cutthroat trout is denied in Palisades Creek, and it is closed to fishing yearly during the month of June, all to minimize disturbance to this native salmonid while spawning. There is no harvest limit on rainbow and trout hybrids within the creek during fishing season."

Definitely counts! Great cake. Will the horse be a model or a real one (not to scale, of course)?
I finished it today and she was very happy with the... theme. Rura... Horse. Easy to score, these days. I owe you these:

These hurdles... No, the fence. Took quite a bit of swearing ;)

Her main present. 100 points. I won't include these into the post, as it would stretch the theme too much, I think...

Luca is a very lucky guy to be allowed... well, once.

Since I live in a very congested, highly populated suburban/urban area and due to some eye issues right now unfortunately can't take a drive out into the country (which really in Northern Virginia isn't THAT far away) to shoot some actual rural scenes, I'm sitting this one out. I've enjoyed seeing the images which actually were on topic. Seeing natural, beautiful scenery and genuine rural scenes as shown and shared by those who are actually experiencing them is quite nice, quite refreshing. It's a whole different world, isn't it?

One of my well traveled roads. Hope these look ok. I’m on a spare monitor till I get my new monitor hooked up and calibrated.
