Sorry, I'm going to use four again. I think it works better that way. On my dog walk today three hares suddenly dashed across the road in front of us and into an adjacent field. Probably two males in pursuit of one female. The third one lost track of the other two and re-emerged onto the road and started heading towards dog and I. I have noticed many times that hares don't seem to realise what is in front of them until they get quite close. That is what happened here and then you see the realisation and the change.

Final day today. I add these two for now and may get out for more later.

Taking it easy in warm, muggy weather and probably seeking to escape the flies.

Wonderful photos this week. I'm tending three grandchildren this week as well as caring for my mom every day. Not much time to get out and find some mammals to photograph. I guess I should have taken photos of the dogs.....just too busy with the kids to think about it. But, it looks like those who participated had a lot of fun.

Dear Ron -

Thank you for hosting yet another terrific CS. I've surely enjoyed everyone's contributions (and your replies) just now. I wish that I could have tossed in even an iPhone snap but it simply wasn't possible for me this week.:( Thanks, buddy, for sustaining this wonderful feature of the Café.

Thanks Eric. Next time maybe?

Thanks Terri but you're right - the kids come first, every time.

Nice job hosting, Ron!

It looks like no one has started a thread for this week, so I'll host CS #757.
