Workshop
View attachment 1689224

Another critical project was to get my workshop set up, with all the tools unboxed, peg boards added, lighting improved, and electrical outlets added. This is one of the three walls used in that area.

Paul, that is wayyyyyy toooooo organized. I am about to go change the cat litter box in my garage. Then sweep and load some 9mm in my work out shorts.

My workspace will neither start nor end looking that clean and tidy.

Now which gets measured and which gets scoped?

Wasn't joking about my organizational skills. This is as good as it gets:

That's because I'm very anal and probably a bit OCD. ?

My dad drilled into all his kids heads about always putting tools away when done with them.

When I worked with him, even when we were working at a job site that was secure, we would put away every tool at the end of the day and bring them back out the next day. Same thing around the house. Had to return the tools, at the end of the day, even if we'd continue the next day.

Plus side was that I knew exactly where every tool was. Minus was that it seemed like I was doing a lot back and forth with tools.

It's an old fashioned work ethic, along with things like picking up after the job, leaving it cleaner than when arriving. Nowadays, I see lots of contractors at our house, leaving boxes, scraps of wires, parts, etc.

With the new house, it gave me a chance to really sort and organize the tools and materials I have. Fortunately, I'm not so OCD as to go through the little drawers of parts and organize the screws by type. :)

Just fill each of those little cases chock full of that black powder stuff so no air gaps and you're good to go!

I use the same powder, seems to work pretty well and not too dirty.

Your work area doesn't look too bad at all. I've seen WAY worse.
