Like the angle you shot for image #2. A lot would be tempted to shoot straight on to the pot, but your angle is more interesting as it gives depth to the photo.

Thanks, Paul, I guess. I'm not familiar with George Carlin so I miss the joke.

Wow. Thought everyone knew him. A well known standup comic, who had several characters, one which was called the “hippy dippy weather man”, a 60s style hippy weather announcer.

He’s had many very funny (to me) acts in the 70s-80s, though as he got older, he became more cynical and political. One of my favorites was his AM-FM album.

I feel very fortunate to have these Gambel's Quail continue to visit my backyard; a few pairs gifted me with four large broods of little ones over the summer.

The "headband" and the projecting feather remind me of something that women wore in the 1920's!!! Now I know where the designers got their inspiration!

Another terrific shot, West. I can't ID it, though - can you? Is it a Rufous or maybe a Calliope? Don't think it's a Black-chinned that are most common down here.

I think it's an Anna's as they live here year round, the others head south come Fall.
