Too bad! I live in suburban northern Virginia, two miles outside the beltway. In our neighborhood there are all sorts of deer. Yesterday I went up a small rise in my back yard and found a small deer among the trees. I don't know which was more startled, it or me! Of course the camera was safely up on my shelf in the study closet.
I grew up in Chicago; the only wildlife we saw were squirrels and sparrows. Seeing creatures like this around my neighborhood still fascinates me. My neighbor two doors down had a pair of red fox living under their back porch; they had a litter of three. I wish I'd known about it earlier...what a photo opportunity!
