D-60 Timer vs Autofocus Help please

Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR Forum' started by Bob Walters, Oct 3, 2008.

  1. A friend who owns a D-60 can select manual focus OK, which he tells me is via a menu selection, unlike my D80.

And he can select the timer function associated with the shutter release OK.

However, he claims that when he tries to select Manual Focus AND the shutter time delay function at the same time, the camera reverts to auto focus. He can't figure out how to make these two functions work at the same time, i.e. manual focus AND shutter time delay.

    I'm a D-80 user so I can't help him.

Can I get some help from a knowledgeable D-60 owner?
  2. I don't know about the D60, but with the D40 and an AFS lens, you can select manual focus using the lens switch and still use the timer.
