The Nikon Quality Department has tested the following cards and approved their use in the D200 Digital SLR:

    SDCFB 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB
    SDCFB (Type II) 300MB
    SDCF2B (Type II) 256MB
SDCFH (Ultra II) 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB
SDCFX (Extreme III) 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB

    Lexar Media

    Entry-level CompactFlash cards 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB
High speed 40x with Write Acceleration (WA) 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB
Professional 40x with WA 8 GB
    Professional 80x with WA 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB
Professional 80x with WA and LockTight technology 512 MB, 2 GB

    1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 6GB

Other brands and capacities of cards may work, but Nikon cannot guarantee their operation. Check with the manufacturer of the third- party card for compatibility information. Nikon recommends keeping one of the approved cards available for troubleshooting.
