I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a D200 today form Canoga Camera - $1320 + shipping. The web site said it was out of stock, but I just got an e-mail with a tracking number. I can't wait. Should be here on Tuesday.

Got mine with grip two weeks ago today and last weekend my flash.
Absolutley love it. Feels just right in the hand. Sold all my Cannon lenses last week and possibly my 20D to my bro-in-law tomorrow.
And don't forget to grab the extra battery

FWIW, Camtea Camera has the MB-D200 in different package deals. This is all new Nikon, and the prices are as good as I found anywhere.

Congrats!! I highly recommend the Thom Hagan ebook. I found it a tremendous resource in getting to know my D200.

I second the Thom Hogan book. The manual is pretty crummy. Thom makes it a lot easier to understand and implement. I would also suggest you get the power adapter. Cleaning the CCD without it is not the preferred method. Buy a used one if you can find it.

Well, my D200 arrived yesterday. What a camera! Charged up the battery, dove into the menus and the manual. Today I will take my first pictures with it. I am so ready for this!
