d2x after market battery issue

i bought after market battery for d2x and it doesnot charge using nikon orginal charger . all the lights keep blinking and its been 2 days. Does anyone know anything about how to charge these after market battery?

If it's a proper after market battery it should charge in the Nikon charger just fine.. What brand?

Here's a guess: the after market battery's chip, if there's one, does not communicate with the charger.

Most advice given about after market batteries is that one is probably better off with the Nikon branded battery. It all depends on your risk tolerance...

Why use a cheap battery in your expensive D2X? Those cheap batteries can do a lot of damage to your camera if it should leak. If something goes wrong with your D2X due to that cheap battery you will not be covered by warranty, not worth the risk, IMO.

I'll confess to trying this once buying a CTX from B&H. Crapped out after 6 months. I could have pursued the warranty, but I realized the error of my ways.

In short, the lesson: I paid 1.5x the cost of the Nikon to have the Nikon battery for my D2x. Just say no to non-OEM batteries in such a high end device.
