D2X and CF formatting

My D2X should be arriving this week and having 2 x 1GB Ultra2 will have some limitations, especially when shooting RAW.

I guess I'm a bit confused about Fat16/Fat32 and D2X. I understand that 4GB Ultra2 has to be switched to Fat32 and later formatted to allow 4GB of space. What about 1GB Ultra2 ? There is no switch there, right ?

When formatted in D70, 1GB Ultra2 will be in Fat16 ?
When formatted in D2X, 1GB Ultra2 will be in Fat32 ?

And I can keep formatting between two without any adverse reactions, right ?

Now, what about some deals on 2GB Ultra2. I missed that 4GB Dell deal. I wish I purchased one.

I am fairly sure just reformatting in each camera should do the trick. I know it works for me on my D1X vs the D2X.

I have been using the 2gb Kingston Elite Pro compact flash cards. $139 at newegg. Occasionally they have a $20 rebate on them. They are 10mb\s read and 8mb\s write speed.
