d2x iso6400

Discussion in 'Birds' started by phillip 200, May 17, 2007.

  1. Yes as the weather is being a little hit and Miss I decided to have a little bit of fun they were exposed at HI 2 minus one stop of exposure and then the minus exposure was corrected in nikon capture giving a ISO index of ISO6400, the top image was put through neat image and the bottom picture is my own way of controlling noise.

    Phillip.

Ps the shutter and aperture was the same for both images 1/500@f8.

this is a NON-processed version for comparison with no NR

WOW! Even without NR this shot looks great! My D2x has the same amount of noise at ISO400... you must own some "special order" D2x with Canon sensor!

The non-processed version is much better.

    Phillip.

  15. Well Philip I really think that one right out of your camera looks pretty good. I think one just between the #1 and #2 would be on the money for me. #3 seem to look like it lacks satutation in the BG.
