D3 & 70-210 F4-5.6d

  1. This is my pet rock. Had it dug up out of the ground a few years ago, as it was holding up my lawn establishing roots. Found a nice home in my mulch bed now:smile:

Just wanted to dust off an oldie and see what it could do on the D3. Took a few focus test shots, and it seemed OK. AF speed, which was not bad at all on my D50, really was nappy with the D3. I always thought that this lens was sharp and contrasty when stopped down. I think at F.8(and using the D3's high ISO if needed), this could be a nice light walk around on my D3.

I could have pushed the sharpening a bit more. Also may have been a bit shaky at 190mm handheld.
