I'm one of those guys that focuses exclusively with the AF-On button on my D300. Therefore it gets LOTS of use. The last two times out, I noticed that by the end of the day it has started to stick. In other words, there's a delay of a split-second before the button "pops out" when I remove my thumb. It hasn't gotten permanently stuck, but I want to avoid that happening, if possible.

What do you guys recommend to clean it so that it operates smoothly again?

Thanks!

It's probably just a piece of lint or small dirt partical. I would try to suck it out. You can buy a vac attachment (made for cleaning computers) that tapers down to about 1/4x1/4 inch. Vac around the button while pressing and releasing it. I would use compressed air as a last resort and then only from a rocket blower. GH
