Awesome shots Richard.A few more snaps from the weekend using the D500
While I enjoy using the D500, and like the results, I'm looking forward to using a mirrorless body as a replacement
It was hot and sunny when we visited the gardens

The tawny frogmouth is a wonderful pic.I was asked, at short notice, if I could host a birding photowalk on Christmas eve. It was for one of the facebook photography groups I'm in. As the reserve is only 20mins from home, and we weren't flying out until mid afternoon, I said I could spare a few hours.
Many were beginners, with a few experienced ones also in the group, not that I'm an expert, but I do enjoy helping others if I can.
Here are a few of my snaps with the D500 and 200-500mm lens

Was Arnie signing your pic?
Thanks for the info Andrew. Love the processing of the first pic and the lens has done a nice job of the last - which I would have taken at 300mm too! I have the AF-P version of that lens and I do enjoy it. Is that the same as yours?Pic 1 = NIKON D500 70.0-300.0 mm f/4.5-5.6 190mm f/5.6 1/4000s ISO 280

Arnie was signing an artists representation with him. There are a sequestered group of artists at the Fitness Expo every year. Arnold stops by and looks at every artists work.
