I'm working on trying to make more professional looking videos.
Today I had a walk around the back yard with my D5100 and the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 lens and a tripod.
I also went under the house into the 'bat-cave' and did some video with it at iso6400.

Some nice stuff, but for video you really need even an inexpensive fluid head (manfrotto for under $200, Teflon not real fluid) will make your pans a lot better). Actually think for "B" roll stuff some of it is very good.

I had a look at some fluid heads after buying a cheap book on digital video on the weekend :)
What is "'B' roll stuff"?

Generally the are establishing of location or bits of interest type images. Stick an actor or explosion in frot of a camera and you have A roll:)
