    Hey everyone,

I'm considering making a motorized panoramic head for one of my classes; except, I'm trying to figure out how to trigger my camera if I mount it on such a platform. I could use IR but depending on the angle this wouldn't work. I figured it'd be easiest if I simulate a mc-dc1.

    I found the following link:

This mc-dc1 is an extremely simple mechanical switch which I could easily model with some hardware hooked up to a computer. However, what is the pinout on the connector side/camera side? Does anyone know? Also what is this connector type called? Does anyone know if I can order this anywhere?

I could just buy a mc-dc1 and lob off the connector but it seems like a bit of a waste to do that. I guess I could always put maybe put male/female connectors in the cable as an extension and and leave the connector intact so I can still use it instead of trashing it.

    Any help is appreciated!
