D70 Eyecup Replacement Solution

Discussion in 'General Technical Discussion' started by realeyz, Mar 10, 2005.

  1. Really great 3-piece eyecup solution for the D70:

I have this myself and its fantastic because it stays on can only be removed if you deliberably want to. It's also far superior to the stock solution when viewing.

  2. Can you please take a picture of this eyecup installed on your camera.
  3. OK I found another camera - (Canon P&S - blech)

  4. OK added a pic above in case you missed it.
  5. Thanks Todd. How hard is it to take off LCD protector ?

I'm debating If I should spend more money on D70 or just patiently keep waiting for D200 (?).
  6. Hey Todd,

Thanks for posting this. Your avatar shows you wearing glasses: how does this work with this eyecup? Do you have to remove them, or wear contacts?

    Thanks much!
  7. works good with glasses - I don't have to take them off - the rubber cup just makes a nice seal on the glass making it very dark. It works great.

Jay: The LCD cover is protected a little at the top by the plastic adapter and rubber cup but it can still be bumped easily from the bottom and knocked off.

Now that's a good thing to know (as another four-eyes). Will have to look into this.
