D700 + 300mm f28 VRII + 2x TCIII

These were taken at Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens which is situated in the Blue Mountains about an hour and a half's drive west of Sydney.

All taken with the Nikon D700 + 300mm f2.8 VRII and 2x TCIII, handheld. Click on the images to see the full 1300 pixel wide image (for landscape orientation pics). Various ISO's and apertures, EXIF intact.

lovely shots Lance, if there was ever a lens that the 2xMk3 was made for its the 300 F2.8VR, (and the 400 F2.8) they work together very well.

Yes, the 2x TCIII is a gem and works great on the 300 f2.8 and the 70-200 f2.8.

Mt Tomah is an absolutely beautiful place. I wanting to go there again soon, so if you're interested you are most welcome to come along. Takes about 1.5hours from my place. :smile:
