D700 Focus Points vs D3

    Does the selected focus point on D700 light-up when AF is activated like the D3? Or, does it remain a dark square like the D300? Thanks.

    Actually, it remains dark like the D300. In the D3 it kind of fades into the background as the camera goes into standby mode...whereas on the D300 and D700 the focus point is always there in bold black, and goes red when you focus.

    im not crazy about how they work on my 300.the 3 sounds like its much better.
