On my second outing I took the D700 to the zoo. Yesterday, first day with it I did some night city shots (posted in other threads), with the 24/2.8 AI, 28/2.8 AU and 50/1.8

Today I took it to the zoo to test the 300/4 and the 80-400VR and I must say I'm impressed. The camera is wonderful and both lenses shined!

I am also, for the first time using Auto ISO, with I never do in the D300. Instead of using my usual "A" mode I switched to "M" and let the ISO fall where it may, keeping an eye on it and trying to keep it low but not worrying too much about it. In these there was some sun so it didn't get too high. Did later in the day (to be posted later).
