D700 Pet Shots...

Discussion in 'Nikon FX DSLR' started by lanthier, Jul 31, 2008.

  1. I know you're doing it. It's late at night, you're up with your new cam and manual, just DYING to shoot something... What else is around but the family pets? So post your shots. I'll start it off and because I am starting the thread, I will cheat somewhat, by posting one from this afternoon when I was trying to find something to shoot. D700, 105VR handheld, VR on, wide open, ISO 200. Focus was on her right eye. Love what FX does for the bokeh of this lens.

    Bella!

  17. I love pet shots. I am so jealous of you guys. I have a d 700 sitting in a box, at my front door, which I could't get to for the last 3 days. My son fell playing hockey at sleep away camp, broke both bones in his forearm, and is casted to his shoulder. I had one day of picking him up, and another day of orthopedic surgeons, another day of surgery. He is fine now, like everything is almost back to normal for him, but it has been quite a few days of running to drs. Keep the shots coming, at one point or another, I will get to post some shots of my newfoundlands. I will keep checking back to see all of the pooches, they always make me smile.

  20. My first with D700 - Jackson

Ah, so I am not the only one who gets a new camera and uses her pets for the first subjects !! Anyway, here is one of my two favorite subjects, the other being his sister Scarlett, here is Jackson (Blue Tick Coonhound, very good model I might add). [D700, Nik 85mm f1.4 AFD at f5.6, 1/60 flash, ISO 200, picture control-vivid, handheld - jpg at high compression for small size]
