I got the two together for $2,058.99 with free shipping. However, I was too excited about the deal and didn't want to wait the 7-10 days for free shipping. SO, I ended up paying more than your $2,068 by about $6 (with shipping).

As a side note, the 24x120 and D7000 are a killer combo. I like that lens better on the D7000 than I do on a D700.

why ?
24mm/dx is not wide enuf for me and so far everything is better on my d700

is it the extra resolution of the d7000?

24mm/dx is interesting - and definitely not that wide, I agree. But if you're used to a 35mm prime, then having 24mm as the widest is not that bad :)

I can understand why 24mm is not wide enough for many people. I have Tokina 12-24mm for wide stuff. If I know I'm going somewhere inside or with great architecture, I'm bringing the 12-24mm in my bag.

I like the 24x120 on the D7000 and it seems like a great match. Pictures come out very nice and the F/4 works well on the camera.

On the other hand, I totally agree and 24 isn't wide enough for real wide angle shots. But having a pro grade lens that translates to 36mm x 180mm on a full frame gives you a great zoom range to work with. I'd love to have a lens in that size for my D700 that would be a 35mm x 180mm F/4.

i was thinking about that range this afternoon and you're right....
36 on the wide end is ok but 180 on the long end is awesome and the size of the d7000 makes the pair a very attractive walking around combo

And I've got a good version of the Sigma 12-24 as well as a good Tamron 17-35, should I want to do a two lens combo.

looks like they stopped the combo price, bummer
Nevermind.....
