I seem to have more battery drain when the MB-D11 is attached. IIRC, this was an issue in the past, possibly with the D200. Does anyone else see this?

Nope, what is more anyway?? Mine works as expected i.e. plenty of shots out of the grip and the internal battery hardly gets used!!

No problem with mine. I don't use a battery in camera. I carry AA backup for the grip. GH

Is there an option in the menu settings that lets you choose which battery to use? The D700 has the option and perhaps you are using the camera battery instead of the grip battery

Page 221. I doubt using the battery in the grip first has anything to do with battery life. GH

I don't have any issues with the MB-D11 grip. I forgot to turn off the camera the other day, when I took the camera out from my bag two days later, it still showed 100% of bettery power.

Both batteries drop from 100% to 97-99% fairly soon after installation. I may just need to use and recharge them some.
