D70S test drive , Raglan , NZ .

I'm really enjoying my new D70S because of the metering . I took a walk this morning along the pathway at the bottom of the small town of Raglan on the west coast of new Zealand's north island .
I really liked the way it exposed this sparrow , it almost looked like it had flash on it .

And I liked the way it handled this lighting , my D80 would have totally blown all the highlights .

Nobody seems to be too interested but this one is a picture of a shelter built in anticipation of japanese invasion during WWII ,

These were used to direct ships up the harbour in those days ,
