All taken with ISO3200. Ofcourse under normal circumstances would not use 3200 for outside shots, but was using my 300mm and wanted to try handheld shots with higher shutter speed. Bird shots were cropped. This is a seriously good camera.

These are all shot at 3200. I realize they are not the greatest examples of great shots, but I wanted to show how little noise there is. Anyways thanks for the descriptive feedback about crap. Not exactly how I would have worded it :)

Sorry what does SOOC mean. I posted two additional pics in the "other animal" thread. I admit the above pics dont do the camera any justice. I am still learning the finer nuances of this camera and some of the settings.

Thanks, they are heavily cropped ( bird shots) and somewhat sharpened. I realized I had ADL on which seemed to degrade the IQ a bit. ADL works better with high contrast situations.

Yes, It was the sharpening I was wondering about, whether in-camera, or afterwards in PP. They don't seem especially sharp, but looked very grainy when viewed at higher res.

Thanks.

From an IQ standpoint, they kind of look like crap to me...

we don't post like that here, go to dpreview if that's the way you want to post

having said that the IQ doesn't look good but I'm pretty sure it's not the camera

maybe post some exif info and we can help

Looks like the kind of shots I took when I didn't know my camera yet.
I'm sure with a bit of practice, things would improve IQ wise.
Just check out Randy's threads with the D7100.
