Mid-shoot this morning, my Nikon D7500 started displaying the "Cannot display this file" error on-screen. Unsure of the reason for the error, I continued taking photos in case I'd be able to recover them later. A different SD card is working fine in this camera so I'm fairly certain the issue is with the card I was using during shooting. So I have a few questions:
- Is there any chance the photos I took after the error began are on the card (and simply not accessible)? If so, how should I go about recovering them? I don't have an SD card reader for my computer (usually just plug the camera into the computer) but just ordered one.
- After my readable photos are backed up, sounds like my best bet for "fixing" the card is to reformat it in-camera. Is this correct?
