You know - that's really a very nice portrait of your dad - I think it's really well done. He certainly doesn't look 75 to me!

  3. Outstanding portrait. Happy birthday to your Dad and I am glad you were able to share it with him.
  4. Nice image and happy birthday to your dad.
  5. Nice image of your Dad. He could easily pass for 15 or more years younger.

Happy birthday to your dad. He looks young for 75.

    This is a great portrait.

  12. Thanks Brad,
He still gets around very well for his age.

    Thanks Dave,
With him living 8hrs from use we don't get to visit often

    Thanks Gordon!

    Thanks Darrel!

    Thanks Seneca,
We won't mention this to my mom

    Thanks Gale,
    You always have nice comments!

    Thanks Trish,
    It was luck of the draw. D200@ f/10, 1/100, ISO 100, 28-70, 2-AB800's with large octoboxes,Westcott silver/white deflector,Westcott collapsible background.
Did a custom white balance with a Expodisc. I used Rawshooters premium to tweek the exposure, sharpen and convert to jpeg. I then used CS3 to adjust the levels, unsharp mask filter @ 65%, added a touch of the Woody treatment to the skin then tweeked the saturation.

    Thanks Fred!

    Thanks Gastheer!
    Will do.

Thanks Tom for the nice comment!

  13. he definitely does NOT look 75. and i opened this expecting a black and white artsy photo and i got a gorgeous colorful standard portrait which i think may help in making him look younger haha
