Daffodils with two very different lenses

  1. I was just playing around with my two latest lens acquisitions yesterday, and ended up shooting the same subjects with each - daffodils, what else!

    #1 with the 70-300VR, 300mm, f/5.6 @ 1/250:

    #2 with the 12-24, 24mm, f/5 @ 1/400:

I was quite pleased with both, but especially surprised at how sharp the 70-300VR is at 300mm, hand-held.

  2. Quite a difference in perspective! The 12-24 is just a superb lens, I love mine dearly.

  3. Yes, I had about decided to go with the Sigma 10-20 to save a few $$$, but when presented with an excellent deal on the Nikkor, I couldn't resist. Now I'm glad I did, though I'm sure the Sigma is a fine lens.
