Daisy time lapse

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by Beezle, Jun 1, 2005.

  1. Never could let an interesting feature go untried. Made this time lapse of a daisy that closes in the evening. D2X and 60mm micro. About 14 images 15 minutes apart.

Very high res QuickTime movie, about 1.7 MB.

I will probably try this again, but 5 to 7 minutes apart.

    Wow...that's pretty cool! Nice job.

Yes, a shorter time between shots might make it a little smoother.

    Great idea...thanks for sharing that!

  3. Really very cool...

Very cool. I've noticed some nice time lapse effects when I shoot IR and have to take a few test shots to get the exposure correct. Since the shots are always a few seconds apart, you really see some motion in the clouds from shot to shot. But I usually only keep the final exposure. You've inspired me to shoot some extra pics and try my hand at time lapse.
