    I like the picture. Having the petals out of focus lets one focus on the pollen, which are sharp as can be. I still have to learn that less can be more, as I would usually aim to get the petals in focus.

    I intentionally kept the petals out of focus...was doing all kinds of "different" shooting techniques during this period. I bet the neighbors were wondering what I was doing all over my yard with the D1/Micro 105mm w/hood in hand! ;)

    I will post a few more when I get a little time.

    It almost seems 3 dimensional with the pollen thingies in focus and the flower petals out of focus. Interesting shot.

    that's a deep flower to try and get full depth of field on. great detail here though.
