Days old piping plovers

I am guessing this guy is about 3 days old - but just a guess. It was in the sand but away from the smooth beach - hiding among vegetation. It did come out for a quick look at me. Early in the morning.

The combo needs good lighting. I have used it on partly cloudy days and do not like the result. But, the 1.4 Sony is out of stock everywhere at the moment.
