Decisions, Decisions.......I need your help.

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by sbuttrick, Jul 21, 2005.

  1. I have a mint F5 with extras that I have the opportunity to swap for either a 4 month old D70 .......or....... a 3 month old D100 with MB-100 battery grip. I know the pros and cons of each camera, but I just can't seem to make up my mind. The D70 or D100 will be a backup to my D2X and would most likely be used in conditions that I wouldn't want to expose my D2X to.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Scott,

I'm thinking the D70 may be a great backup body. Better features and better battery are pluses.
  3. I hope that the conditions you are referring to are not weather-related: the D2X would probably handle those better. That said, I think too that the D70 is a great backup body, which has many of the features of the D2 series, least of which is iTTL flash capabilities.

I would have to say go with the D70 also.

On second thought, I'm not sure a swap of a Mint F5 for a used D70 is a good trade.
  6. I would go with the D70.
