Beautiful, majestic, overpowering and bitterly cold.

monochromatic effect lasted several days due to weather conditions, and

Arno,

Thanks for looking. It was somewhere on the way to Tromsa, way north of the Arctic circle. We docked and went out to hear a concert at night in Tromsa.

Walter,

Thanks for looking. I am sorting thru the pics, and can experience the mood
even now at home with 34 degrees centigrade!

I applaud your courage to go there at that time of year. Many years ago, I once went as far as Hammerfest and the North Cape (by car)- quite cold (max daytime temp 12C) even in August. No snow though, but no darkness in the night either.
