In our road trips around Alaska, my wife and I always joke about the 'dot' pics we get of distant wildlife. It's particularly true with her point-n-shoot camera but not much better with my 300mm shooting out a bus window or with a monopod in the wind. At any rate here are a few from the Park road.
Sow and cubs on the prowl:
Chasing a ground squirrel which the sow caught but did not share. We could hear the cubs whining and momma growling as she ate the 2000 calorie snack:
A pair of wolf pups playing on the river bed:
Caribou on the ridge:

As I've said before, it's nice to see all these critters in the wild even if the distance and equipment don't make for great photos the experience was wonderful. If you ever take the bus tour, get off periodically, walk around, enjoy the quiet and catch the next bus by. You can do this all day on one pass.
