What do you think? Looking constructive criticism - thanks!
I love this shot although the real estate above her head pulls me away from the man below. Would love to see a crop to compare the two. Nice work in tough lighting to pull it all together.
powerful shot...well done!
I love the lighting and the perspective
I like the shot but agree that a tight crop above her head would make the photo more powerful. You've done an excellent job with the lighting and contrast.
Love the black and white!
Yes, I was going to suggest a crop above also....as I scrolled down, it ends up stopping maybe 1/4 or 1/3" above her head. Really makes a strong image!
i also agree with cropping quite a bit off the top
i really don't like the caption.... FWIW
instead of "Desperate"
how about.... "Thank You" ???
thanks for sharing this one with us
thanks for the comments so far everyone  i really appreciate sincere criticism.
how about this for a tighter crop?
ah, good point. i guess it was just an assumption, purely interpretative of why you think the man was on his knees. i agree with changing the title, but perhaps to something that won't bias the viewer so he/she can make the decision if the person was prayerful or thankful.
Cropped version is better! Nice photo!
The tighter crop is even better. Great powerful shot.
Great shot made even better by the crop suggested by others. Very moving indeed.
Im odd man out once again....prefer the uncropped version
What's wrong with you:tongue:...everybody gang up on RFC:wink:
Many New Yorkers have eclectic tastes
Your tastes are just fine as evidenced by your beautiful website gallery.
I agree. The border surrounding the Madonna establishes the context of the shot better. As for a title, perhaps "Devotion" might leave more to the imagination.
that sounds perfect to me
My only nit pick is the bench to the left...can you clone that out...being that it's dark it just looks like a box to me.
Great powerful image.
