All my life I have wanted to go to the Detroit fireworks and it just have never worked out for me to go.
But I got a chance to go last night, and now I can't wait for next year.
We watched from Windsor Ont. (which is due south of Detroit in case you didn't know).
This was are seating choice and view.

Now onto the show.

Without a doubt this is my favorite of the night.

To me the hardest part was the exposures, this wasn't like any other fireworks display I have photographed, way lots more light at 1 time.
They say they shoot off 100,000 fireworks in just under 25 minutes.
Can't wait till next year.

Very nice shots Dave. Glad you finally got to go. Why do they have the show on the 29th of June?

Brian

I think it has to do with the fact that Canada has a holiday on July 1st and it is part of what is called the freedom festival with several events happening between Detroit and Windsor.
If the weather is bad, they can push it back to the 30th, which I was beginning to wonder about as it stormed just as we parked the van.

As you can see here they are trying to get all the water out of the blanket from all the rain.
