The race for him (Category 4) was 48 miles with 4700 ft of climbing at a 19.1 mph avg speed.

Yes, thats the race. Its in Pearblossom which is just outside of Palmdale.

There was a nasty headwind that picked up later in the day as the racers turned toward the finish line that made the last couple of miles killer.

Thanks Ron. I first processed it in color and then started playing around with it in B&W and think its a stronger image in B&W.

I gave it to him yesterday and he was thrilled. He owns a bike shop and has a few cycling photos on the wall and it just didn't feel right that he didn't have one of himself. :smile:
