Did you know they had color film back in the old days?

  1. Looking at old pictures in color, kinda makes things feel more contemporary! :p Here's a cool archive of color photos of Americana life during the 40's to 60's. Very interesting to look at! Check it out.

    I knew they had color back when, but haven't seen a source of images like this one before. Thanks.

    Here are two pictures of my wife taken during the time span given. Both were with Ektachrome using a Rollei TLR f/3.5 Tessar. At the time they were taken only Kodachrome was given a chance for long life, but these seem to contradict that.

    This from spring 1956.


    and this from January 1957.

    I think they are not up because I moved them to another gallery. Sorry, not thinking. I will move them back and we'll see.

    I love that old nostalgic look and feel. My parents have loads of photos from that era. You have inspired me to make sure they are archived properly.
