My daughter volunteered me to shoot at a sleep in to raise awareness about the plight of displaced children in Uganda. All over the country, people were gathering at local parks with nothing more than some cardboard to build a shelter, a box of saltines and a bottle of water so they could live for one night the way the children in Uganda are forced to live. The event in the NYC area was at Croton Point Park in Westchester, just north of NYC right on the Hudson River. Everyone was super-friendly and committed. We didn't stay the night but had a great time helping out and learning about this important cause. Here are a few while we were there.

Well, the first days are the hardest days,
don't you worry anymore
When life looks like Easy Street
there is danger at your door
Think this through with me
Let me know your mind
Wo-oah, what I want to know
is are you kind?
