Diving Northern Gannet

    From last Saturday's whale watch, a gannet just before hitting the water. At this speed, this bird will dive about 24" or more into the water. While the day was better than it could have been, sunny skies would have been better!

    While I'd like to take credit for it, it was more luck. By the time I had acquired focus and tripped the shutter, this is where it was.

    Thanks, lens was the 70-200VR on a D2x. Keep forgetting to include the tech stuff......:redface:
