Do camera shows still exist? I've only been to one, in Cincinnati, many years ago. I bought a FM2 in fantastic condition. It was fun to walk around and see the equipment and talk to many friendly people.

I'd like to visit another show, but I can't find one. Back then, everything used film. Has digital caused the demise of camera shows?

Please tell me what you know about camera shows in 2008.

  2. If you check in the back of Shutterbug Magazine it will have a list of locations and dates of shows.

Thank you both! I haven't seen a 'Shutterbug' in quite a while.

"ebay effect" taken over, inflating prices and making shows a waste of time?

  7. Yes, camera shows are alive and well especially in the Chicago area. Here is a url for camera shows as posted on the internet by one company. It tells me when the Chicago area shows are held in Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago. I have had great success at these shows over the years and plan on being there again this weekend. It is sponsored by Photorama but other shows are shown on their list.
