Do you buy books about photography?

Martin I just receive the book macrophotography, learning from a master, I guess that guy must have a pickup truck to carry everything he use to take pictures. I am a little bit deceive buy the book that cover about only bugs photography, i was expecting maybe some flowers shots.

I'm told the best way to learn is to find a book of photographs you really enjoy and actually dissect them for the compositional elements used. Then try apply those elements in your photos - slowly.

It makes sense to me.

Although it means a much longer learning curve until I create 'original' photos, it parallels how I learn my material in courses. Master the basics and one day you'll be able to put them into practice in a new configuration.
