Wow! I remember these old shutters made of cloth. I think it's about 55 years ago I saw the last one...

The Nikon F only had the cloth shutter for the first 260+/- in the first year of production before going to metal. They are rare, had a Nikon service tech offer me $300 for it a bunch of years ago but I knew what it was. It has the original prism finder as well which makes it more valuable as most of the prism finders were discarded in favor of the Photomic meter finder offered a few years later. My grandfather bought it new so there is a bit of sentimental value as well.

Yes, I collect and shoot older camera gear. Everything in this curio is in working order except the Polaroid above my darkroom timer.

Still have my first Camera and the only Canon I own. AE1. Took thousands of Slides and a few years ago converted some to digital of my sons growing up.
