Does anyone have a hood for their LCD screen?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a hood for their LCD screen for better viewing outside. For me it is really hard to see the LCD screen after taking a pic because of the sun, not like viewing inside for sure. I have found two. Would like to know if you have one and what you have or do you have one of these.

( This one looks like the better hood for viewing outside, but to me it looks like it doesn't attach to the camera so for me that is a down fall, just something else to carry around.)

( This one does attach to the camera which is a plus, but doesn't have the
2x magnification that the other offers)

I'm going to buy one or the other, but can't decide. Thanks, Debbie

I do alot of shooting out in the sunshine, and have the D80 version of the basic hood. I don't chimp much, so mostly it just stays shut, but for chimping in the sun it makes a HUGE differance.

Other than occasionally jabbing myself in the lip if I forget to close it, I consider it a must have.

I used the Hoodman with my D100 all the time. I got one for my D200 and used it for about a year until I knocked one wing off it. I removed it and haven't missed it since. I must confess part of my feelings may have to do with Hoodman not producing them in the U.S. anymore.

Debbie,

I agree with Lawrence. I have the Delkin pro version on all my camera's. If you do a lot of chimping it can become tiresome opening and closing the cover. I do not know about the hoodman, but the delkin cover is removable.

I have a D200 delkin pro version for sale ($25 shipped). I switched to canon last fall and have this left over.

Peace
