I'd love to see some opinions and photos of this lens ,
Thank you
I decided to give one of these a try and expect to receive it early next week.
Hoping it will be a good action dog lens. I'll post a few as soon as I'm able.
played with one in a local shop. Its really small, if you have had a 70/80-200/2.8 before. And the AF was whisper quiet. It probably going to need to be treated as an f4 at the long end though.

Steve, these shots are awesome! Yes, I once did own a Sigma70-200 f2.8, which I thought was great but it wasn't so convenient to use, so I sold it long time ago.
Knowing the great contrast it produced, my guess is that the left image is from the Sigma. And if it is lightweight on top of it... I am kind of looking for a mid-tele which would be easy to carry with me for travels and landscapes.
And to handhold, I'm not much of a tripod girl.
By zooming internally, does that mean it doesn't stick out when rotating it from 50 out to 150? If that's the case, I'm pretty sold on this lens.
Would you consider the Bokeh better than the NIkon 55-200VR?
sweet, thanks Steve. was my guess correct too?? Mind if I ask where in PA you are?

I find the Sigma to be a good all around lens of high quality, no complaints. I have lots of photographs from this lens at http://www.pbase.com/islaguy/sigma_50150
Thanks Kevin, however I ordered the NIkon 55-200VR.
