There is a good reason why many lenses now do not have Depth of Field (DoF) scales - DoF calculations are based on 30mkm standard of blur of an object with exactly zero size (Circle of Confusion, CoC, equals 1/1000 of frame diagonal). That is resolution of 30 lpm (line pairs per millimeter). This resolution was typical for pre-WWII emulsions. Modern emulsions have about 120lpm, same as D2X with average demosaicing algorithm. That corresponds to CoC of at least 8mkm. I see visible unsharpness on big size prints if I use larger values of CoC.
