You can only control the flash exposure via the Exp Comp dial on you camera, but I'm pretty pleased with how this shot turned out. I set the D70(+28-200vr) to -1 Exp Comp, and used the large Joe Demb Flip-It, pointing the flash straight up and angling the flip it at 45 deg. Bunny here was in some deep shadows, so the flash lightened them considerably, keeping it natural looking, w/o looking too flashed. (this was lightend further using Curves in PS).
    original.
    Model NIKON D70
    Focal Length 112 mm
    Exposure Time 1/100 sec
    Aperture f/5.6
    ISO Equivalent 250
    Exposure Bias -1
    White Balance
    Metering Mode center weighted (2)
    Exposure Program aperture priority

Now, this shot is just for fun, using the same settings. Pierre ran and hid as soon as he saw the flash! Ain't he a funny looking critter!?
