I had the opportunity to dial the D300 up to the 3200 and rip with some indoor extremely low light handheld shots. I have to admit, I am completely amazed. I was ready for some real grainy shots but to my amazement they are more than I bargained for! I no longer have the fear!

Now to figure out why my flash won't respond to the camera controls (or versa-visea).

  2. What flash are you using?

Dave, I'm with you bro! Until last Sunday I hated the noise that I would get on my D300 above ISO 800. I did a wedding and I bumped it up to 1000 and I liked it even more. But the only reason why I like it so much because I was shooting in Sepia and just enhances the photo. When shooting in color I'd rather 400-500 ISO.

If your flash is not responding you probably have it in commander mode. That got me a few times too =)
