but these black colored birds are hard to get detail in. This was shot with a Sigma 50-500 with Sigma 2xTC.

It's a grackle. Good catch considering the distance (must have been 70 - 80 feet away).

Thanks for the name. I haven't seen many of these around here. Good guess on the distance. I'm not sure if the detail is good or not for 1000mm.
