DR-4 or DR-5 for My D2X (These are Right Angle Viewfinders)

  1. hello,

I know the DR-4 works on the D2X, but I wondered if anyone was using a DR-5, and if so, why'd ya pick it over the DR-4?

  2. I know of no reason why one would do this.

I have just bought a secondhand DR3 and adapter for my D2H on ebay. Really good price.

    Best Wishes. Bob F.
  3. I'm not at home but I had one for the D100 and then bought one for the D2H/X. I believe they were the 4 and 5. If I'm correct the 5 is far superior. You can get 2x magnification and that's great when you're bending over. I'll check it when I get home tonight.

  4. Thanks, Rich, I really appreciate it!
  5. Paul,
Yes, the DR-5 does have 1x & 2x magnication. It also has 90 degree detents so that it doesn't "wander" from the vertical (as the DR-4 did, as I recall). The DR-5 simply screws into the D2X eyepiece threads.
  6. Thanks, Rich, appreciate the info and help!
